Worst spa I have ever been to
17 September 2021
When I went to the steam room it was fill of damp and smelled of damp! The pool was so so old I don’t even know how old and the sides around the jacuzzi were all broken and full of black damp. Also I was advised that I will be given slippers robe and towel at a low rent cost, therefore I didn’t take my slippers and their slippers were out of stock ! This place needs a refurbishment so badly the ceiling above the jacuzzi was falling off in bits of cement every so often.

Wonderful gift, execution - not so wonderful

Overall it was was a lovely day but there were several things that let it down. 1) booking You call to book the reservation for the spa day and treatment, but have to call the hotel directly for your lunch time - I couldn’t get through for AGES. I ended up emailing a contact I had at the hotel and finally I got through. 2) on the voucher it didn’t specify it was week day only. As much as I’d love to go on a week day, I didn’t have enough annual leave. But it was a £20 supplement for weekend per person. 3) sessions were either 8-12 or 12-4, I thought this was good to avoid overcrowding and so glad we opted for the early one, as when we returned from our treatments at 11… the pool was full of kids and families and it wasn’t very relaxing (also a reason I would’ve preferred to come midweek, rather than pay a supplement to share my spa day with screaming children) 4) the treatment was good, however I was never asked “is the pressure ok?” And all other spa days I’ve had before, we would have a double room, so we could be together during treatments. Perhaps this isn’t possible at this venue. 5) lunch - quality was good but service was SO slow. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and after skating 35 minutes or so we had to chase it up as we had somewhere to be afterwards. And finally the sandwiches appeared. Luckily they were good sandwiches… but unless they went and hunted the chicken fresh.. I don’t know why it took so long!

Very relaxing
29 August 2021
This was bought as a gift by family for me & my daughter after she’d been ill. It was just what we needed. The pool area and changing facilities were lovely, although there could’ve been more hairdryers. There were 4 but only 3 were working. The spa was amazing. We had a facial, which I would highly recommend. Very relaxing! The ladies in the spa were very experienced and holistic. The down side was the spa and the pool were completely separate, so you had to get dressed when moving from one to the other. I’m other places, you can move from one to the other in robes. Also robes weren’t provided. Apparently because of Covid. We had lunch in the courtyard, which lovely.

Dissapointed

Fantastic spa, experience. However, the Leisure facilities were poor and we had to pay extra to go at the weekend due to no availability during the week. They did not tell me at the time of booking that they open for children and swimming classes. The pool is so small and all we could do was go in the sauna. The cream tea was also disappointing, we placed our order and after 45 minutes asked how long. The waitress brought out a pot of tea and forgot the cups, then the cream tea arrived. Stale dry no taste! Overall the spa experience was worth it. We should of left at that point.I would not recommend leisure or cream tea.

Rip off!
19 June 2021
No relaxing at this so called spa in Bexleyheath!!. Small jacuzzi which is in the same area as the very small swimming pool which had children and baby classes going on. Changing rooms had no private cubicles and no doors or curtains to the showers. The reception area to this so called luxury spa was next to the swimming pool and the whole place was ran down and grubby. Massage was ok, although the masseuse just wanted to talk while giving you a fall body massage. No water dispensers anywhere to get a drink, not even tea or coffee offered to enjoy after your massage. Cream tea was a total let down. Just 4 scones with a small pot of clotted cream and jam along with a pot of tea or coffee. Very disappointed, didn’t stay for the day and was not worth £73pp. Gutted I wasted my money. Will not return and will definitely not recommend.

Nice experience
29 February 2020
The facials were great S were the beauty therapists. Loved the heated bed to lay on. As we were vegetarian for the afternoon tea, spoke to five people; one rang me on a Saturday morning at 8.20am and I was still in bed. Not amused. Told the staff we could eat eggs but were given sandwiches with vegetables in; not very nice. The scones were rock hard. Grapefruit sorbet was very nice. Drinks given at least 30 minutes before food. No one in bar when we left or to get more hot drinks whilst we were eating. Booking in at the spa was ok only because the young guy was on the ball. The lady seemed to be confused.

Very disappointed with the venue :(
24 February 2020
The place is not suitable for a spa day. It is just a small swimming pool in very bad conditions, full of children and parents. The jacuzzi had cold water. We had to pay extra to access the pool that we ended up not using because it was full of childrens. Our experience includes lunch and that is not given in this venue. The place was very dirty and it looks like it needs repairing. I was looking for a relaxing place to enjoy my birthday with silence and peace and nice swimming facilities unfortunately this Marriott didn't have any of that. The members of Staff were ok though. I don't recommend it to anyone.
